As parents you are able to find advice and parenting tips where ever you turn, whether you want them or not. Hopefully, you are able to separate the good advice from the not-so-good advice! But sometimes we just need a little support or someone to answer our questions who really knows the answers. Below is a list of resources that will hopefully give you a little guidance as you strive to be the best parent you can be to your little ones.

Parent Survey
Davis School District has initiated a new teacher evaluation system that includes a parent survey. As part of Davis School District, we also have a parent survey. Service providers will be delivering the survey at home visits or by email in the next few weeks. There is also one at the end of this blog post. Please take a minute to fill it out and return it so we can provide the best services possible for you and your child.
Baby Watch Early Intervention Program also requires a parent survey and that one will be delivered to you at home visits in March.
Your responses on each survey helps us to better the early intervention program and ensure that we are providing the supports and services that best help your family. If you have any questions about either survey, please ask your service provider or contact me (Mandy 801 402-5403).
Thank you for letting us get to know you and your child!

The Season of Illness and Taxes
We try hard to not spread illness to your families. We have an illness policy in place to helps us protect your family. During this time of illness, please follow the illness policy and cancel appointments if anyone in your home is sick.
Early Learning Center Layton 801-402-5514
Also,
Each family with a child who was eligible for Early Intervention services at any time in 2013 will be receiving a TC-40D tax form this month. The Utah State Tax Commission has authorized this form to be used to document a dependent child with a disability. Families will need to fill in the necessary information on Part 1 of the form and keep it with your tax records. With this form, your child who was eligible for early intervention will count as two dependents on your Utah State Tax return. The form does not need to be sent in with your taxes. We are only authorized to provide forms for children who were eligible for early intervention services in the 2013 year. If you have questions about the eligibility of older children, please check with the principal at your child's school.
Our staff works with many babies and toddlers who get sick very easily. Because of this
fact, it is very important for everyone to remember to cancel home or center visits if
ANYONE in your family is sick.
Please call to reschedule if any of the following symptoms are present:
- fever of 101 degrees or more
- stomach/flu-like symptoms such as throwing up or diarrhea
- very sleepy or tired; fussier than usual
- a sore throat
- bad cold
- coughing
- red eyes with discharge
- thick green mucus from the nose
- skin rash
- oozing fluid or pus
- head or body lice; pinworm or scabies
- mouth sores
If anyone in your family is showing any of the signs listed above or isn’t feeling well, call
to cancel the visit by 9:00 AM.
Please help us keep everyone healthy.
