Utah Baby Watch Early Intervention Policies in Review Up for Public Comment

Baby Watch Early Intervention in the State of Utah is proposing changes to some of their current policies.  These changes will impact all Utah Early Intervention programs, like Davis Early Intervention, and the children and families because the policies changes will be used in the processes before and after children enroll in Early Intervention.  The changes are up for public comment.  The policies that are in review are the

CSPD Policy
Eligibility Policy
ICC Policy
Evaluation and Assessment Policy

We encourage you to review through the proposed changes to the policies by going to the Baby Watch website https://health.utah.gov/cshcn/programs/babywatch.html
There are links for each policy in the blue box titled "Policies for Review," and the proposed changes are highlighted in red.

There is a public hearing scheduled for January 30th, 2019.  If you would like to attend, there is a link you can click (on in the same website listed above) to find more details about the hearing.  Currently, the public hearing is not listed in the upcoming events so if it is not listed when you go in, check back to the website later because they may not have added the public hearing to the upcoming events yet.

Also, if you would like to provide written comment concerning the proposed policy changes, you can send your comments to babywatch@utah.gov.
